Taking Measurements
Our sample gowns are offered in measurements not sizes, and they are a close match to your actual size. To determine your size, we take your measurements for each area listed below. Your stylist will recommend and select samples in the silhouette that you prefer and confirm your size!
When shopping at Maplewood Bridal the one thing to remember is that for your final order, you will not need a tailor!
We are a street size wedding brand!
Taking Measure:
We prefer to keep the measuring tape loose. We can always take a dress in, it is much harder to let out! We recommend wearing undergarments, including a bra while taking your measurements.
Bust - We measure under your arms and around the fullest part of your bust (not under your breasts). Tip: remember, bust does not pertain to your bra size.
Natural Waist - We measure around the narrowest part of your torso, usually 1-2 inches above your navel.
Hip - We ask that you stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and booty.
Arm Circumference (only needed for orders for dresses with sleeves) - the measurement is taking by wrapping the tape measure around the widest part of your upper arm, from front to back.
One last thing, we will ask you your bra size (cup and band).
